Investigating further yesterdays story from posted by jacob I found some interesting stuff by Paul Graham.

Paul Graham is a Lisp hacker and advocate, and has written the "ANSI Common Lisp" and "On Lisp" books, the latter is available for download. He also maintains a a Lisp FAQ.

He has also written an excellent article called "Revenge of the Nerds" with some extra code examples and some very good comments from readers. Highly recommended.

A long time ago I also read Grahams "Beating the Averages" story together with a very interesting email about the code behind the Orbitz airline ticket booking system, which is also the subject of "Orbitz Reaches New Heights" in new.architect magazine.
