A craftsmans language

Miod Vallat, an OpenBSD developer, is quoted as saying:

A friend of mine likes to describe OpenBSD as "craftsmen work," and I agree with him here. Craftsmen pay attention to all the details, and only C will let you check all the details.

I'm convinced he's right. I have to use my energy on learning C# for now, and I'm getting more and more routine in using Perl for everyday tasks, but C is still at the top og my "Programming Languages I'd Love to Learn" list.
