Calvin of Calvin & Hobbes is a great philosopher at times. Perhaps you could call it procrastination instead. Anyway, I can relate.
It seems Lance Armstrong is this years winner of Le Tour de France. In todays timetrial Jan Ullrich crashed in a roundabout on the wet and slippery roads. He gave it his all, the only thing he could do since he were 1'05" after Armstrong, and failed. David Millar won, and he so deserves it, he's a very elegant and fast time trial expert.
David Millar said after his victoriy: "Pretty cool, huh? ... Pretty fucking cool." about the strong tailwind and that it'd been the second fastest time trial ever in Tour history with an average speed close to 55 km/h in spite of the tricky wet corners.
Tyler Hamilton from Team CSC had a great time trial and with his 2nd place today (á 0'09" to Millar) he managed to advance past the two Euskatel riders Haimar Zubeldia and Iban Mayo in Classement Générale to 4th spot overall, and that's not likely to change now. Quite good with a partly broken collarbone. Bjarne Riis even told reporters that Hamilton had taken a wrong turn in the race.
The podium is now Armstrong as 1st, Ullrich as 2nd and Alexandre Vinokourov as 3rd, a major and well deserved breakthrough for him.
