RPC DCOM, Paul Ford and IBM vs. SCO

There is a worm out using the RPC DCOM vulnerability, see InternetStormCenter, the Handlers Diary August 11th 2003. there's a clear increase in port 135 and 445 activity.

Paul Ford is back at the helm at, and surfing around there I found his Web Pidgin piece on web standards. There's even a website now, and it seems it's Pauls birthday today, happy birthday!

And finally; there's an absolutely wonderful article at The Register about IBMs countersuit to SCO, the GPL goes to court. Very clueful, as it's not about law, it's about things that matter.
