Bikeporn + obnoxious InkClub.com 'tards

May 20, 2004

I took some pictures of my bike today. Just to show off a little. It's not so show-off-able anymore though, especially not in comparison with these bikes from Light-Bikes.com.

Don't buy stuff from InkClub.com. I bought some ink for our printer and a week later, not the 2 work-days they said on the order page, I had the package. After I had ordered they sent me HTML formatted email with news about what great things they now have on sale I suppose, and a short text/plain message with a link to the news mail as a webpage. I ask them to remove me from the list and promptly get an autoreply back telling me they have recieved my email and will get back to me shortly. They did, but the muppet who answered me didn't understand the request and thought I were asking how the order went and told me they had just packaged it and it was on it's way to me…

I've now gotten another newsletter from them. I look at the webpage they link to in the text/plain part and find a “Unsubscribe me” link at the bottom. I happily click it and type in my email address and click the “Unsubscribe” button … and is told that it does not know that email address.

So I send them an email detailing my problems with all the news about stuff I do not care about and never requested and promptly get an autoreply back telling me they have recieved my email and will get back to me shortly.

I don't think it's possible to be more obnoxious.
