Yesterday we held the first Linuxforum BoF day event. It was a really nice and relaxed day with very little pressure on us, the organizers, and people seemed to enjoy themselves. This is not surprising, when geeks get together for something like that there's always a lot of talking and networking going on, and everyone likes that. The BoFs were fine too, but as always it's impossible to participate in all of the interesting ones when there's four parallel tracks of four BoFs each.
After the regular program there was beer, and later we ate chinese at Restaurant New Garden. I was reaffirmed that chinese food is really boring and not worth paying for. Fortunately it wasn't too expensive, so not a lot of money wasted.
The Tsingtao Beer we got with our meal wasn't too exciting either, on the other hand, the Young's Oatmeal Stout and Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout that I had first at the BoF day were absolutely excellent. I found out that Ølbaren is now smoke free on mondays, so I'll try and make a habit of going there on mondays and have a new Oatmeal Stout every time until their supply of that type runs out.
