Two days ago we went to Hvidovre Hospital for a scanning. Mette Marie had started bleeding the day before and we were of course worried, so we got a time just before noon.
There was no fetus, just a black spot on the screen.
The doctor and nurse were really nice and explained that there probably hadn't been a fetus for 4–6 weeks or more, but the body sometimes need quite a while to actually discover that. That's how about 25% of pregnancies end.
We have been spending a lot of time together the last two days, Mette Marie has been home sick, and I've been working from home. We needed a timeout together.
But now we're moving on.
