Microsoft is very late with
Longhorn Vista, again, and hope to
deliver it late next year by removing all the interesting new
things and focus on the easy stuff like implementing Microsoft
“innovation” like Dashboard —
pretty and useless.
In the process
heads rolled they reorganized and started from
scratch with a lean and clean code base, and sold that to the media as a
great victory, and The Wall Street Journal lick it
up, while The Register is somewhat more realistic.
Be sure to read todays UserFriendly strip, it is a pretty good comment too.
