Liebach v3.0 alpha

The new FreeBSD logo

Back in February the FreeBSD logo contest was announced and now the final results has been announced.

The winner, Anton Gural, has designed a complete visual identity for FreeBSD, and he's provided some samples. I like the way the new logo is used on the CD jewel case sample, the Handbook cover looks very slick and professional, and it's good to see that the logo works in plain black-on-white as well as the ultra shiny version which looks great on glossy paper or on the web.

I shall remember to bring some money for merchandise for EuroBSDCon in Basel.
